Definition of the allowable concentrationof toxic gas detectors

Toxic gas detectors are mainly used in industrial sites. Each different toxic gas needs to be equipped with a corresponding gas sensor instrument for detection. How to set the alarm value of the gas and how can the toxic gas detector be used to the maximum extent. AIYI Technologies will explain in detail the allowable concentration of toxic gases in the following.

       Definition of allowable concentration:

The allowable concentration refers to the concentration that can determine that even if workers are exposed to hazardous substances at the worksite if the hazardous substances in the air are below this value, the health of most workers will not be negatively affected.

       Types of allowable concentration:

       TWA (Time Weighted Average))

A time-weighted average of 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week of repeated exposure will not cause health hazards.

       STEL (Short Term Exposure Limit))

Each contact time is not more than 15 minutes, the interval is not less than 1 hour, and the exposure is not more than 4 times a day, it will not cause health hazards.

 C (Ceiling value))

Upper limit is not to be exceeded.

The alarm value setting of the toxic gas detector for toxic gas is generally set according to the allowable concentration value. There are many kinds of toxic gas detectors in AIYI, welcome to your support.
